It isn't easy being beautiful and svelte and utterly agile. But the men and women of the Alvin Ailey American Dancer Theater make it look like it is.
Three of the company's top talents -- Rachael McLaren, Alicia Graf Mack and Linda Celeste Sims -- sat down with Shape magazine this week to discuss how they keep their bodies in the incredible shape needed to inspire audiences every night on stage.
The company recently wrapped its annual New York City run, including a farewell performance by Renee Robinson, the last dancer to have been chosen by Alvin Ailey himself, and is set to embark on a 21-city U.S. tour at the end of this month.
While Robinson has never disclosed her age, her thirty-plus years as a professional dancer undoubtedly benefited from some of the fitness tips (and guilty pleasures) revealed in the video above.
