'The Big Bang Theory': The Guys Are A 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' Landing Party (VIDEO)

'Big Bang' Meets 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'

Leonard may have more -- and more expensive -- makeup than Penny, but he certainly put it to good use on the latest episode of "The Big Bang Theory." The guys were headed to another comic book convention, and this time they went as the characters from from "Star Trek: The Next Generation."

Their costuming and makeup were impeccable, and they even found themselves in a real-world "Star Trek" situation after their car got stolen in the desert. Sheldon, dressed as Data, tried to inspire some hope in his fellow Starfleet officers -- and one Borg (Howard).

"We are, in fact a Star Trek landing party, stranded in a strange and unforgiving environment, relying only on our wits, our fortitude and our moxy," he said. It might have worked, had someone not thrown a slushie at him and called them all nerds.

All of them -- save Raj -- got disillusioned and simply wanted to go home after that. Their spirits were lifted at home, though, when they arrived in the middle of the women arguing about the properties of Thor's hammer. They'd gone into the comic shop in an attempt to better understand their guys, and found themselves engaged in the kinds of discussions that comic fans are all too familiar with.

Keep laughing and geeking out with "The Big Bang Theory," Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
