The 2013 Golden Globe winners were announced on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the Golden Globe ceremony, the 70th in the history of the awards, which honors the best in film and television.
"Argo," "Les Miserables," and "Django Unchained" were among the 2013 Golden Globe winners in film.
It was expected to be a big night for films like "Lincoln," "Argo" and "Django Unchained." Those three films scored the most nominations -- seven for "Lincoln," five each for "Argo" and "Django" -- ahead of other contenders like "Zero Dark Thirty," "Les Miserables" and "Silver Linings Playbook" (four nominations each). Favored nominees in the acting categories included Daniel Day-Lewis ("Lincoln"), Anne Hathaway ("Les Miserables") and Jennifer Lawrence ("Silver Linings Playbook").
Television winners included "Girls," "Homeland," and "Game Change".
HBO received 17 nominations as a network, including five for "Game Change," the most from any television show or movie. "Homeland," the Showtime thriller, scored four nominations, including Best Television Series, Drama.

The Golden Globes are voted on by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Per the Globes website, the group was found during World War II. More about the organization can be found here.
