The Best Actor in a Comedy Series honor went to "House Of Lies" star Don Cheadle at the 2013 Golden Globes.

Cheadle's win was something of an upset, which he acknowledged in his acceptance speech. "This is unexpected," he quipped.

Cheadle beat out fellow nominees Jim Parsons, Alec Baldwin, Louis C.K. and Matt LeBlanc. Baldwin is a three-time winner, while LeBlanc and Parsons won the Globe the last two years respectively.

It was Cheadle's second-career Golden Globe win. The actor won a Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries, Series or Motion Picture in 1999 for his role in "The Rat Pack" and was nominated in 2005 for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for "Hotel Rwanda."

Comediennes Amy Poehler and Tina Fey hosted the Globes from the Beverly Hilton in a telecast that aired live on NBC.
