Whether you're a gearhead, a consumer looking for a new car or just a spectator with a love of pageantry, the 2013 North American International Auto Show has plenty of sights (and sounds) to capture the imagination.
This year the annual Detroit auto event will feature over 500 vehicles from brands like Ferrari, Volkswagen, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac, Toyota, BMW, Audi and Land Rover. The NAIAS is North America's largest automotive show and a great opportunity to get a glimpse of new models and concept vehicles that have yet to go into full production. The media preview for Detroit's Auto Show gets in gear Jan. 14 at Detroit's Cobo Center and will be open to the public from Jan. 19-27.
In order to give you a fuller picture of what's going on, HuffPost Detroit is chronicling the biggest car show in North America with of the live updates as it unfolds. And to spark your interest even further, we've assembled a slideshow of images from the NAIAS 2013, including a futuristic Johnson Controls concept car, singer Amy Heidemann of Karmin performing at a Mercedes launch, and a sneak peek at Chevy's new next generation C7 Corvette.
Rev those engines of yours, and enjoy!
