Latinas At The Golden Globes 2013

Though no Tr3s faves walked away with Golden Globe statues last night, several famous Latinas shone bright throughout the ceremony. Stars like Sofía Vergara, Jennifer Lopez and Salma Hayek captured a ton of paparazzi attention on the red carpet and had some memorable moments during the show.
Salma started the night off with a bit of a flub, but one that was definitely not her fault. The gorgeous "Savages" star took the stage with Paul Rudd to present the Best Dramatic TV Actor award and had a bit of teleprompter error when it came time to read the nominees.
Hayek, being her usual effervescent self, made some impromptu jokes until technicians were able to fix the problem.
“Ok,” she said. “This is about the Best something…”
The crowd laughed right along with her and eventually they announced Homeland’s Damian Lewis as the winner. Jessica Alba popped up onstage not too long after, in a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta dress. Thankfully her presenter duties went off without any glitches, as she happily handed Kevin Costner a Best Miniseries Actor award.
Eva Longoria dazzled in a black gown and presented the night’s Best Miniseries Award alongside Don Cheadle. Rosario Dawson stepped up to the podium too, showcasing the British film, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
But none of the ladies’ outfits could top JLo’s. Style bloggers zeroed in on her the second she stepped on the Globes’ red carpet. Her Zuhair Murad dress definitely pushed the TV-PG envelope, with many claiming that parts of it were see-through!
Sofía Vergara shone brightly too, though sadly she lost her Best Supporting TV Actress award to Downton Abbey’s Maggie Smith. Interestingly, Sofía’s "Modern Family" (which usually racks up tons of awards) was left entirely in the cold, losing mostly to the HBO series Girls.
Movie-wise, the Globes proved to be an eclectic affair, handing out trophies to a variety of different films. Argo took home Best Drama Film and Best Director for Ben Affleck. But the Drama acting categories belonged to Lincoln and Zero Dark Thirty (for Daniel Day-Lewis and Jessica Chastain respectively).
On the Musical or Comedy side of things, "Les Misérables" scooped up several Globes (much to our surprise). It earned Best Picture and Best Actor for Hugh Jackman. Anne Hathaway, who is a rumored Oscar favorite, nabbed a Best Supporting Actress win for Les Miz.
And in the animated and music realm, Pixar’s "Brave" earned Best Animated Film, while the Adele track “Skyfall” took home Best Original Song. All in all, it was a pretty entertaining night (especially for Jodie Foster fans), but it would’ve been a whole lot better if Sofía had nabbed that trophy!
