PBS's "Pioneers of Television" paying tribute to some of the famous faces who helped shape TV into what we know and love today.
On Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. EST, look back at some of TV's best comedic actresses when the PBS program takes a look at the careers and impacts of Carol Burnett, Mary Tyler Moore, Phyllis Diller, Betty White, Marlo Thomas, Joan Rivers, Lucille Ball and more. On the episode, titled "Funny Ladies," look for commentary contemporary women in comedy like Tina Fey and Margaret Cho, as well as the Diller's final interview.
"Pioneers of Television" premieres Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. EST on PBS. Other episodes will focus on primetime soaps, superheroes and miniseries.
