Kanye West dropped a baby bomb on us last December -- announcing at a concert that girlfriend Kim Kardashian was his "baby mama." Now Kim is opening up about her pregnancy to the public herself. Appearing on the "Today" show with sister Kourtney Kardashian Tuesday morning, Kim said she was due this summer and that she was still grappling with the news.
"I think until I really start seeing a belly, it won't really sink in. It's just a weird realization. I think until you start seeing the physical changes, every day is different," the 32-year-old reality star told host Savannah Guthrie. She added that she was unaware that West would be announcing the news. "He just kind of does what he feels. Once you're past the three-month part, you know, you're pretty safe. I'm due in July."
Asked whether she planned on marrying West, Kim played coy. "It's something that we talk about, but I think it's just right now [we're] focusing on the baby. What I've learned in life is -- I was always such a planner. You think your life is going to be a certain way, and the best surprises just happen when you don't plan. I'm just so content with how things are right now. We definitely want that in the future, but I'm not in a rush."
Kim also revealed that she had struggled with the same infertility issues that younger sister Khloe Kardashian has publicly faced, together with husband Lamar Odom. "Khloe has been very open about her fertility issues and I think I was always really kind of quiet about mine, and I have similar issues, and so it was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens," she said. "That’s an exciting moment, you can't plan for things like that. So I think it's just such a blessing knowing my circumstances. As much as I would like to be in a perfect world where I'm divorced you can't plan for any of that."
Kim and West began dating last April. In October 2011, Kim notoriously filed for divorce after just 72 days of marriage from Nets basketball player Kris Humphries.
