UPDATE: According to Gossip Cop, Michael Lohan reached out to the site to say that he did not, in fact, make any comments about his daughter dating men for money.
"By absolutely no means did I ever make such a statement ... ever," Lohan reportedly told TMZ.
PREVIOUSLY: It's no secret that Lindsay Lohan is having some financial troubles, but what is more perplexing is how she continues to live her very expensive lifestyle.
RadarOnline reports that the actress is desperate for money, and keeps herself in the lifestyle she's become accustomed to by working as a professional escort.
“She is getting paid to date rich men,” the 26-year-old actress's father, Michael Lohan, told the website, adding that his ex-wife Dina Lohan is pimping out their daughter.
Lindsay has a rocky history with her father, with whom she is often not on speaking terms and whom she has accused of lying and repeatedly talking to the press for his own gain. But sources close to the actress have corroborated his allegations.
“The dates last for days, and the guys pay for everything – hotel, travel costs, food, whatever – as well as jewelry and other gifts,” the source revealed, adding that one of Lindsay's most high-profile clients is third in line to the throne in Brunei, and paid the actress $100,000 to join him in London on New Year's Eve.
To be clear, no one has claimed that Lindsay is having sex for money, but she's allegedly being paid to act as "arm candy" for wealthy men.
This isn't the first time Lohan has been tied to escorting. In 2010, Lohan reportedly lost out on a $150,000 pay day from billionaire Richard Lugner, who brings a celebrity escort each year to the Vienna Opera Ball. In the past, Lugner brought the likes of Sophia Loren, Carmen Electra and Dita von Teese. When Lugner sought out Lohan for the 2010 event, she reportedly was hesitant, and requested that the ball's date be changed. After Lohan and her managers made a ton of the demands, she reportedly lost the gig, according to the New York Post.
Lohan had reservations about being a celebrity escort, but if her father's claims are true, then perhaps she's had a change of heart.
