'Intervention': Message From God Helps Mother Find Root Of Teen's Heroin Addiction (VIDEO)

With a little help from above, Tiffany's mother was able to understand some of the demons that were haunting her teenage daughter. At 19-years old, Tiffany had been a heroin addict for the past two-and-a-half years by the time she appeared on "Intervention." She did the drug up to ten times a day, and had turned to stripping and stealing to support her habit.

At nine-years-old, Tiffany started to suffer hallucinations and was ultimately diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Three years later, she attempted suicide. Her mother just knew that there was something else haunting her daughter, so she went to church and told God she wouldn't leave until He helped her understand what was wrong with her daughter. She said she was told to 'Go downstairs.'

This is where Tiffany's room was, so her mother went there. "He said, ‘Open up the drawer.’ And there was this one letter. So I picked it up and I started reading it," Tiffany's mother said. "It was the worst day of my entire life."

Tiffany had written the letter. In it she revealed that her stepfather -- who was a preacher and had adopted her -- had been sexually molesting her since she was five years old. He'd threatened to kill her family if she ever told anyone. After this discovery, he was sent to prison.

As for Tiffany, she agreed to go into treatment. She has now been sober since August 2012 and has been doing volunteer work at an orphanage in Haiti.
