Jessica Shepherd FOUND In Colorado After Leaving Facebook Message Telling Friends To Call Police

Missing Girl FOUND After Chilling Facebook Message

Police in Johnstown, Colo. say they've found Jessica Shepherd.

The 16-year-old girl went missing for 36 hours after leaving a Facebook message stating that she felt scared and wanted someone to call police, according to CBS Denver.

At about 8 a.m., authorities got a call from someone who said they knew Dave -- the same man who Shepherd said she was with before she went missing. Johnstown police this morning tracked her to a home about a half-mile from police headquarters, ABC 7 reports.

Shepherd is "fine and doing well," Johnstown Police Chief Brian Phillips told the station. He said she isn't injured and is cooperating with police.

She's currently being interviewed, and the details of her disappearance are yet unclear. It's also not yet known whether she was found with a man named Dave, or what their relationship is.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued a missing child alert for Shepherd on Wednesday after the Facebook message indicated she was in trouble.

Police said she has run away from home a number of times in the past year.
