LOOK: Celebrity Photographer Mike Ruiz Releases Gorgeous New App

Mike Ruiz 's stunning coffee table book "Pretty Masculine," released in 2011, invited viewers to explore " masculinity beyond what might be considered the stereotypical man." Now the celebrity photographer and HuffPost Gay Voices blogger is debuting his "Pretty Masculine" app.

"After having sold out the coffee table book and having social media be such an important part of how I am branded, I thought it a natural fit to merge the two interests," Ruiz told The Huffington Post.

The photographer, who has been featured on "America's Next Top Model" and "RuPaul's Drag Race" and has snapped some of Hollywood's most beloved celebrities, says the new interactive app is the "evolution of the coffee table book" and will allow users to consume art in an entirely new way.

"One is able to not only scroll through over 125 images (content which will be frequently updated), but also be able to link to behind the scenes videos, interviews with models and artists and creative 'mini movies' that bring the images to life," he says. "It also provides links to the models’ and artists’ websites and social media, making it a networking platform for creative types and functions as a conduit to various charitable organizations that are near and dear to my heart."

The app also features a "studio" where users can take a photo or upload one and incorporate various elements to "Pretty Masculine-ize" their own image.
