Leonardo DiCaprio may be one of the biggest stars in the world, but he doesn't let that go to his head. Instead, he takes the time to reassess his life so he can make good choices going forward.

In talking with August Man magazine, the "Django Unchained" star discussed growing up (and growing older) in the business. "I guess the big four-o hasn't entered my consciousness yet," said the 38-year-old actor, according to JustJared. "I believe it's very important to look back on the choices you’ve made and re-analyze where you want your life to go and the things you want to do as an individual."

"As an actor, I do everything possible to tell a great story in a truly artistic way, but at the end of the day you never know how critics and audiences are going to respond," said the '90s heartthrob. "My goal is to keep doing great work… I haven’t stopped yet and hopefully the work will never stop. While I’m here, I will always have that drive to not only produce great work, but to make a difference in the world.”

Work may never stop rolling his way, but DiCaprio recently announced he is taking a much needed break from making films. "I am a bit drained. I'm now going to take a long, long break. I've done three films in two years and I'm just worn out," the actor told the German newspaper Bild. "I would like to improve the world a bit. I will fly around the world doing good for the environment."

The green topic is near and dear to Leo's heart, and he touches on it in his interview with August Man as well. “In my adult life, my environmental work and activism remain a priority," he said, according to JustJared. "I created a foundation that focuses on raising public awareness of the very important issues concerning our planet.”

For those of you concerned about your DiCaprio fix, worry not. Though he is taking time off, Leo will very much be on screen. His movie "The Great Gatsby" is expected to hit theaters in May and "The Wolf of Wall Street" should come out later this year.
