Liam McIntyre Talks Grueling Workout Schedule For 'Spartacus' On 'Watch What Happens: Live' (VIDEO)

Liam McIntyre Says 'Spartacus' Workout Schedule Is 'Horrible'

When Liam McIntyre stepped into the sandals of "Spartacus" after the passing of original star Andy Whitfield, he may not have known what a grueling schedule he was walking into. Beyond the normal routine involved in filming a television schedule, "Spartacus" demands a brutal workout regimen. They are, after all, wearing little to no clothing throughout the series. He talked about how exhausting it all was on "Watch What Happens: Live."

"So much working out. It’s horrible," McIntyre said. "We film 14 hours a day and then we’d train for two hours a day and you pretend you’d sleep, but you were just amped up on testosterone."

Perhaps then McIntyre is at least somewhat relieved that the upcoming third season of the hit Starz drama will be its last. At least it appears to have been worth it, as Variety is reporting that Season 3 is the best yet.

Check it out when "Spartacus: War of the Damned" kicks off on Friday, January 25 at 9 p.m. EST on Starz. Tune in to "Watch What Happens: Live" every weeknight at 11 p.m. EST on Bravo.
