When the weather is dull and dreary, looking down at brightly painted nails instantly brightens our mood. No wonder hoards of Americans are stocking up on nail polish like rolls of toilet paper.

Even though we spent much of this weekend cooped up inside, our minds escaped to warmer climes with every stroke of teal, fuchsia and yellow nail color. From Sarah of Chalkboard Nails' sunset gradient maze manicure to Chelsea of Get Nailed's vintage roses nail art, we're getting a jump start on spring's nail art trends.

I used Essie Licorice for the base and a variety of other colors along with nail art brushes for the vintage roses. " - Chelsea of Get Nailed

  • Sunset Gradient Maze Nail Art

"This maze pattern was created using three of Orly's Feel the Vibe Collection nail polishes. I applied them to the nail using a triangle makeup wedge, which created the blended gradient look, then freehanded the black maze pattern over the top. This manicure makes me wish I was on a beach sipping a Mai Tai!" - Sarah of Chalkboard Nails

Then I added the arrows with a nail art brush using Orly Liquid Vinyl and OPI Panda-monium Pink." - Rosie of Little Nails Blog
