The 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards took place last night, honoring this past year’s best film and television performances, based on votes from professional actors and broadcasters.

Of the 10 categories that honored individual actors, six of the winners were over 50. Actors like Tommy Lee Jones and Julianne Moore took home statues in categories like “Outstanding Male Actor in a Supporting Role” and “Outstanding Female Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries,“ proving that for fellow actors, age has nothing to do with quality.

Dick Van Dyke, 87, also won big last night, taking home a Lifetime Achievement Award. In his speech he exclaimed, "I've knocked around this business for 70 years, and I still haven't quite figured out what it is I do? Aren't we lucky to have found a line of work that doesn't require growing up?"
