Improve Your Diet With Anti-Inflammatory Foods

The Diet That Will Slow Aging And Prevent Disease

An anti-inflammatory diet may not help you instantly fit into that size zero dress, but it is a healthy, long-term eating plan that slows the process of aging and could help prevent disease.

“Inflammation is actually your body’s natural defense response when you have an injury or an assault,” said dietician Sharon Palmer, who wrote the book The Plant-Powered Diet: The Lifelong Eating Plan for Achieving Optimal Health, Beginning Today. While appearing on Mind Your Body TV, Palmer explained that although inflammation is good in moderation, eating unhealthy, inflammatory foods causes chronic inflammation, which is bad for one’s health.

Palmer gave many examples of inflammatory and anti-inflammatory foods. To find out what you should eat to have an anti-inflammatory diet, watch the clip above.
