Kelly Clarkson Engaged: Singer Says Wedding Planning Is 'Overwhelming'

Why Kelly Clarkson Is Terrified Of Her Wedding

Kelly Clarkson's got a case of the pre-wedding jitters.

The singer, who is engaged to Nashville talent agent Brandon Blackstock, told southern California radio station KFROG Monday that the wedding planning process has been overwhelming for her.

"People think because I'm singing in front of people all the time that I'm comfortable being in front of people, but I'm actually terrified that everyone's watching me walk down an aisle. That's actually the worst thing ever," Clarkson said. The KFROG interviewer joked that it would be awful if Clarkson tripped on her gown during the wedding, to which she replied, "[It] is not a 'what if' situation -- it will happen."

Another cause of stress? Finalizing the guest list.

"We are trying to make it small, but it is hard because once you have one person you have to invite five others," Clarkson said. "I literally had a breakdown like two weeks ago about the wedding list because I was like, I don't know."

Clarkson and Blackstock got engaged in December 2012 after one year of dating. The couple is planning an outdoor wedding where Blake Shelton and Blackstock's stepmother, Reba McEntire, will perform.
