Everyone's eyes turned to Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner's courtroom in Los Angeles, Calif., yesterday, as troubled star Lindsay Lohan attended a pretrial hearing regarding her car crash incident last summer. Though LiLo tried to get out of going to court by slipping a "sick note," she was busted when paparazzi shots of her shopping and smoking in New York hit the Internet. But what was she doing on the East Coast anyway? As it turns out, LiLo can't afford to pay for an apartment by herself. So she's been forced to move in with her mom, Dina, in Long Island, New York.

“Lindsay is being forced to live at home with Dina because she can’t afford any other options at the moment,” a source told RadarOnline. “Lindsay is flat-out broke and can’t even afford to rent a two-bedroom apartment in North Hollywood."

“Lindsay’s been telling everyone that she moved to New York because she was sick of Los Angeles. But that’s just not true, she would love to move back west, but she can’t afford to!" added the source.

Aside from the obvious inconvenience of moving back home at 26, RadarOnline reports that Dina is a cause for embarrassment for Lindsay -- “she always wants to go out partying with her,” their source said.

And while Lohan is looking for new income sources, an old one -- pal Charlie Sheen, who gave LiLo $100,000 back in November -- expressed regret over handing the starlet such a large sum of money. While appearing on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," Sheen said he didn't know that money was going to cover Lohan's debt. He thought he was righting a wrong, since she didn't get paid what she was promised for "Scary Movie 5." "I didn't know it was for taxes. If I'd have known that I'd have given her half," said the 47-year-old actor.

But Sheen had nothing but praise for his "Scary Movie" co-star. "She's terrific, I mean she's going through a lot of stuff," Sheen told Leno. "She's smart and super fabulous and I think will come out on top eventually."

In other forms of encouragement, Lohan debuted a new tattoo in court yesterday that reads "What Dreams May Come..." Though it might look weird -- E! described it as "a red, double triangle ... kinda like the hazard symbol on the button in your car" -- perhaps the hopeful words are a sign that LiLo is ready to turn things around. If not for herself, then for her new baby brother.

Because there's never a dull moment with the Lohans, papa Michael and his girlfriend Kate Major became parents to a baby boy at a Florida hospital yesterday, reports Us Weekly. This is Michael Lohan's sixth child, and according to the reports he was in the delivery room the entire time and even cut the umbilical cord. LiLo's new half-brother's name? Landon Major Lohan.

Welcome to the family, Landon.
