'The Vampire Diaries': Plan To Kill Kol Is Put In Motion

The good guys scored a big one on this week's "The Vampire Diaries," but they left a lot of plates spinning in the air to do it. It took a lot of doing, and a lot of pain, but Jeremy did kill Kol. That was the endgame of the game they played, but in doing so they incurred the wrath of Klaus.

Bonnie managed to get him locked into the living room of their house, but that spell will only last about two days. If they don't find that cure for vampirism by then, there will be serious hell to pay as no one is strong enough to handle Klaus when he's angry.

The other wild card is Rebekah. After figuring out that Stefan was playing her for the dagger needed to kill Kol, she gave it up willingly. Further, she told Stefan that she was in for finding a cure. She wanted all those normal things she'd been denied by turning immortal all those years ago.

By killing Kol, Jeremy wiped out every vampire he'd ever created, and the Originals had created a lot of vampires in their time. That does't include any of the show's cast, but it was enough to complete the Hunter's tattoos on his body. This should be the roadmap to the cure.

The journey to a cure continues on "The Vampire Diaries," Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
