Beyonce On Blackout: Singer Says She Is Glad The Power Went Out After Super Bowl's Halftime Show

Beyonce On Blackout: 'God Was On My Side'

The Super Bowl came to a sudden halt this Sunday when a power outage occurred in the Superdome. While the game was stalled for 34 minutes, Beyonce is just glad it didn't happen during her performance.

"It's a live television show, it's the biggest show in America," Beyonce told omg! Insider. "There's so many things that could happen and God was on my side, so I'm very, very happy that it went well and the power went out after.”

The captivating halftime show featured Beyonce singing her hits "Love on Top," "Crazy in Love," and "Halo." She also used the show to reunite with fellow Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. The trio sang "Bootylicious" and "Independent Woman," and Rowland and Williams accompanied Beyonce for a performance of "Single Ladies."

Beyonce also spoke to omg! Insider about her show, saying, "It was beautiful, it was really beautiful. It feels good to know that the hard work paid off."

The singer announced Sunday that she will be kicking off "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" this spring. The tour begins in Belgrade, Serbia on April 15, and ends its U.S. leg in New York City on August 3.
