Anyone who’s seen the Fast & Furious movies knows that Don Omar has an affinity for race cars. His role as Santos saw him tearing apart the streets of Brazil and the Dominican Republic. And now, it looks like he’s hoping to do the same thing in real life by going to NASCAR school.

During a recent motivational speech, El Don revealed that he is planning to further his automotive education. He said that he left mechanic school 14 years ago to pursue his musical dreams, but is now planning on going back.

“Going back now is different. I’m returning with the wish to inspire people who in a certain moment of their lives need someone to inspire them, and to go beyond what I am now,” Omar explained.

He went on to say that he hopes to master the art of auto mechanics at Orlando’s Mech-Tech College and at the Vegas NASCAR school. Of course if you want to see El Don rev it up sooner than that, look for him in this summer’s Fast & Furious 6.
