Former ABC "20/20" anchor Chris Cuomo will make his CNN debut filling in for Piers Morgan.

"Piers Morgan Tonight" executive producer Jonathan Wald tweeted that Cuomo will be in the anchor chair Friday night to cover the major snow storm slamming against New England and manhunt in California.

Last month, CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker announced that Cuomo would "have a major role in a new CNN morning show and across the network, anchoring and reporting on major events."

It's unclear what will happen to the network's current morning show "Starting Point" and its host Soledad O'Brien. While "Starting Point" has not gained the large audience the network had hoped for, O'Brien's tough interviews and aggressive questioning has won her praise.
