Kevin Hearn, the keyboard player in seminal Canadian pop band the Barenaked Ladies, filed a lawsuit last year against the Toronto art dealer Joseph McLeod, who the musician claims sold him a fake or forged work by the First Nations artist Norval Morrisseau. Hearn is now seeking over $90,000 in damages, including the $20,000 he paid to the Maslak McLeod Gallery in May 2005 for the painting, the Globe and Mail reports.
