Hilaria Baldwin Pregnant: Alec Baldwin's Wife Expecting Couple's First Child

After weeks of speculation, Hilaria Baldwin has confirmed that she and Alec Baldwin are expecting their first child.

“We’re having a baby! It was a surprise, a wonderful surprise," Hilaria, 28, gushed to "Extra," with Alec, 54, by her side.

The yoga instructor admits she was shocked when she found out and scared the life out of Alec after she took a pregnancy test.

“There’s a scream I heard, which is a scream normally reserved if there’s a spider in the house, not exaggerating," Alec told Extra. "Normally, I will be reading a book. We're in the country, it's quiet, some time to really relax and unwind and sometimes, once a month, you hear ‘Ahhh, Alec, Alec!’ I come upstairs, and there’s a spider on the wall. So then I hear that scream again, but it was not a spider.”

Hilaria continued, “It was followed by ‘I’m pregnant, I'm pregnant!’ He runs up the stairs and I'm holding it [the test] and showing it to him.”

“We can joke all about it, but it's honestly the most amazing moment," Alec said. "We are really sharing something special.”

The pair, who married in June 2012, are now looking forward to decorating the nursery and preparing to become new parents.

“We’re so thrilled and we can’t wait to meet our baby,” the couple added to People.

Alec already has a 17-year-old daughter, Ireland, with ex-wife, Kim Basinger.
