Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Delay Flight After Bypassing Mandatory Security Screening

Kimye Causes An Uproar After Bypassing TSA Security Checkpoint

Obviously a TSA security official was starstruck when he or she caught a glimpse of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West at Kennedy Airport in NYC on Tuesday morning.

According to NBC News, an airline employee at JFK is being investigated for allowing Kardashian and West to bypass a mandatory security screening before boarding a flight to Los Angeles on Feb. 12. Authorities have confirmed that the couple, who are expecting their first child together, somehow got on the plane without stopping at the security inspection after arriving on a flight from Brazil.

Security protocol calls for every passenger to go through the TSA checkpoint at the airport -- even celebrities.

A Transportation Security Administration spokeswoman, Lisa Farbstein, tells NBC that after clearing customs and baggage, Kimye were escorted by the employee "through a non-public area in order to provide expedited access to their domestic flight." When officials found out about their quick and easy pass-through, Kardashian and West were taken off the plane and screened in private area of the jetway.

The pair was eventually cleared to board, but delayed the flight from New York to Los Angeles by about 50 minutes. Not to mention, they got one airline worker in big trouble! Farbstein confirms to NBC that TSA is investigating the incident and the employee.
