K-I-S-S-I-N-Guinness!

Nine couples in Thailand have been smooching it up since Tuesday as they attempt to break the World's Longest Kiss Guinness World Record. The favorites? A pair in their 70s who've been married for 50 years.

Pannajet and Suwanna Yomjinda, 74 and 72 respectively, are the oldest couple attending the annual Ripley's Believe It Or Not! contest in Pattaya, Thailand, ITN News reported.

"I'm not sure if we'll win because of our age," Suwanna Yomjinda said to ITN News, "but if we were younger, we would surely win."

The two are aiming to beat the current record -- a kiss that lasted a flabbergasting 50 hours, 25 minutes, and one second, according to Guinness World Records.

That lip lock occurred at the same even last year by same-sex couple Nonthawat Charoenkaesornsin and Thanakorn Sitthiamthong.

The event's guidelines allow couples to drink water out of a straw as long as their lips remain sealed. Referees accompany them to a special bathroom throughout the competition.

The contest will last through this Thursday -- Valentine's Day -- or until one couple is left kissing.
