Everything in its right place: Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood told BBC 6Music that his band will reconvene this year to record a new Radiohead album.

"We're taking some time out whilst people are doing some other stuff, doing their own things, and the plan is to get back together again [at the] end of the summer," Greenwood said whilst being extra British. This would be Radiohead's ninth album.

The "other stuff" Greenwood refers to likely includes lead singer Thom Yorke's side venture, Atoms for Peace. Yorke, producer Nigel Godrich and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea (of course) started playing together in 2009 under the moniker ??????; the band later became known as Atoms for Peace, and will release its first album on Feb. 25.

Greenwood's brother, Jonny Greenwood, has also been busy. The Radiohead guitarist is a popular composer, and he wrote the score for Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master."

Radiohead's last album, "The King of Limbs," arrived in 2011; the group debuted a new song, "Full Stop," last June on a tour stop in Chicago.
