Firefighter Dad Builds Realistic DIY Firetruck Bed For His Son (PHOTOS)

This puts our bunk bed to shame.

It isn't everyday that our parents decide to build us something extraordinary. But Reddit user burnstyle is one such parent who ended up building the most remarkable DIY firetruck bed for his son.

A firefighter by trade, burnstyle saw just how overjoyed his son would get when visiting the station. After noticing how frequently the boy played in his truck, burnstyle decided "it was time that he had one of his own." Assembled from a salvaged automobile and miscellaneous parts he had around the house, the finished project is a balanced hybrid between imaginary components (pretend pump pressure valve, steering wheel) and practical utilities (television monitor, small fan).

This dad worked hard to bring his little boy's fantasy to life. But this isn't the only time we've come across an awesome dad who builds fun things for his kids from scratch. If you've constructed something similar or have other great DIY ideas, feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comments. And be sure to check out other crazy beds in our slideshow below.
