Jennifer Lawrence and David O. Russell: two great tastes that taste great together.

According to THR, Lawrence and Russell will team up for a third time on the film "The Ends of the Earth." The actress and director previously worked together on "Silver Linings Playbook" (which netted them both Oscar nominations), while Lawrence recently signed up for Russell's next film, an untitled drama about the ABSCAM sting operation from the late 1970s and early 1980s.

"The Ends of the Earth" was first announced back in August of last year as the fact-based story of E.W. Marland, an oil tycoon who fell in love with and then married his adopted daughter, Lydie (the role Lawrence will play). It should be noted that the most recent THR story on Russell's involvement in the film makes no mention of Marland, and only calls "The Ends of the Earth" "fact-based." Oscar-nominated screenwriter Chris Terrio ("Argo") wrote the film.

The Weinstein Company is set to release "The Ends of the Earth."

Russell frequently works with the same actors again and again. For the untitled ABSCAM drama (previously called "American Bullshit"), Russell hired not just Lawrence, but Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Bradley Cooper. All three have worked with the director before. (The other lead in the film, Jeremy Renner, is a first-timer.)

"Oh, it's nice," Russell told HuffPost Entertainment about working with the same actors. "It's really great because you have a lot of trust with each other and then you can really reach higher and go farther and deeper. The best thing is for me to trying to to the best I can do as a writer and directer so that I keep attracting the best people. To me, that's a blessing. If I get to keep working with people as gifted as these actors, you're halfway into the movie at that point in delivering the vision. It raises the bar for me, and I just keep trying harder."

Lawrence, meanwhile, is a creature of habit as well. Just 22, this would be her third film with Russell, and she's already made multiple movies with Cooper. Not to mention the franchise work she does in "The Hunger Games" and "X-Men."
