Gift Helps Create First Chair In Women's Philanthropy

A $1.5 million gift to the Indiana University School of Philanthropy will finance the nation’s first endowed chair in women’s philanthropy.

Maureen and Jim Hackett endowed the Eileen Lamb O’Gara Chair in Women’s Philanthropy. Mrs. Hackett chairs the school’s board of visitors, and named the new chair after her mother, who was a businesswoman deeply involved in philanthropy. The school will begin its search for the Eileen Lamb O’Gara Chair Holder later this year. The start date of the chosen individual will depend upon when the search is completed.
