On Wednesday, Google put out an open call for submissions to a little contest. The winners of the contest would qualify to be one of the first people in the world to own a pair of Google Glass, the next-generation smart-glasses that should be released later this year. All a contestant had to do was log into Twitter or Google+ and write a message with the hashtag #ifihadglass, explaining what they would do with the G-Glasses.

A day later, there have been some amazing entries -- some funny, some stupid, some inspiring, some mildly pornographic. We've collected our favorites below, with the hopes to put our weight on the scale and get some of these folks a Glass device of their own. They've all earned it, in their own special ways.

Don't let us down, Google. Get these people some Glass!
