In the United States, a woman suffers a heart attack every 90 seconds. February is American Heart Month – a time to think about what you can do to take care of your heart. Heart disease is the number one killer of women and men in the United States, and the number one killer of Latinas in the U.S. This disease claims the lives of more women than lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and diabetes combined.
