Illinois Oscars Connections: Land Of Lincoln Well-Represented At 2013 Academy Awards (PHOTOS)

The Academy Awards are known as Hollywood's biggest night, but with a bevy of winners, presenters and others with ties to Illinois, the Oscar limelight shone bright on the land of Lincoln.

From a surprise appearance by first lady Michelle Obama — proud Chicago native — to a pair of students from Chicago colleges replacing leggy models as awards runners, it was hard to go a minute during Sunday's show without spying someone (or some film) without an Illinois connection.
