In his Australian bio, Savchenko is described as a specialist in International Latin dance with proficiency in ballet and contemporary dance. He studied acting at The Actors Pulse in Sydney.

Another new pro has joined "Dancing With the Stars" for Season 16: Sharna Burgess, who's partnered with Andy Dick and replaces Chelsie Hightower.
