Kira Trevino's Husband, Jeffery Trevino, Arrested In Case Of Missing Mall Of America Manager

MALL OF AMERICA MYSTERY: Manager's Husband Arrested

The husband of a missing Mall of America store manager has been arrested on suspicion of homicide.

Authorities in Minnesota detained Jeffery Trevino on Tuesday, one day after a white Chevy Cobalt belonging to his 30-year-old wife, Kira Trevino, was discovered beneath an overpass in the famous shopping mall's parking lot.

Police searched the Trevino's home, but would not elaborate on what they found.

“We located enough evidence that a crime had been committed in the house,” said Sgt. Paul Paulos, a police spokesman, according to the Pioneer Press.

Jeffery Trevino, 39, now at the Ramsey County jail, was cooperative with police, Paulos added.

The couple had no children and moved into their home about a year and a half ago, a neighbor told the Star Tribune. Authorities said they lived with a roommate, who is cooperating with investigators.

The search for Kira Trevino began when she failed to report to her job at Delia's, a clothing store, according to MyFoxTwinCities.

Police are still treating the case as a "active investigation," Paulos said. Trevino is described as 5-feet-3-inches tall and approximately 110 pounds, with shoulder length blonde hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information that could lead police to locate Trevino is encouraged to call the St. Paul Police Department at 651-266-5650. Further updates will be posted to the department's Twitter, @sppdPIO.
