Beautiful Vertical Garden Photo Inspires Us To Grow One Of Our Own (PHOTO, VIDEO)

A very interesting solution for those who are short on space.

If you've ever dreamed of tending to a garden but find yourself pressed for space, consider trading the traditional setup by growing it vertically. Of course, you could try DIYing and following any number of great tutorials online. Tara Heibel from Sprout Home, for example, offers a few helpful words of advice, like using a Wally from Woolly Pocket for beginners. But if you're looking to outsource the job to an expert, we've found just the person for you: Reddit user Mossrocks specializes in building indoor vertical gardens that give traditional outdoor spaces a run for their money. Lucky for us, he decided to share a recent work by uploading a stunning photograph of one such indoor installation as inspiration.

According to Mossrocks, selecting the appropriate plants to include in the arrangement is based on the conditions inside the space (such as temperature, proximity to a window, etc). Maintenance varies from garden to garden. Overall, you should expect to monitor water and mineral intake. Might be a little too high-maintenance for us...we'll stick to our little desk plants.

But in keeping with the spirit of DIY, and if you're interested in building a vertical garden of your own, be sure to check out our video above for some great tips.
