Debi Austin Dies Of Cancer

Deborah "Debi" Austin died of cancer last Friday at the age of 62.

Austin was best known for an anti-smoking ad she did for the California Tobacco Control Program in the 1990s where she smoked a cigarette through a hole in her throat. After nearly 20 years battling cancer, she died of the disease Friday.

Austin began smoking at the age of 13 and had to have her Larynx removed when she was 42. Since then she had been an anti-tobacco advocate.
