Francis Lessard, Sebastien Laferriere Fight Turns Into Stare Down During LNAH Game (VIDEO)

Worst Hockey Fight Ever?

What looked like two opposing hockey players gearing up for a fight eventually turned into a long stare-down during a recent LNAH game between the Cornwall River Kings and HC Carvena de Sorel-Tracy.

Cornwall's Francis Lessard and Sebastien Laferriere of Carvena dropped gloves during a game on Feb. 24 and looked ready to duke it out. But neither player ever actually started the fight as they skated in circles and stared at each other. Even the referees surrounding the two became impatient after nearly a minute went by with no action, before finally sending them to the penalty box.

According to Hockeyfights.com, both have engaged in their fair share of fights, with Lessard involved in 16 so far this season and Laferriere in 30.

So it came as no surprise when, as Puck Daddy pointed out, the two fought just minutes after serving their minor penalties. In about 15 seconds, several punches were thrown and the refs had to intervene rather quickly.

HC Carvena went on to win 3-0.
