Kobe Bryant Dunks Over Josh Smith In Lakers-Hawks Game (VIDEO)

Kobe Posterizes Josh Smith

Kobe Bryant scored the Lakers' final six points to lead them past the Hawks on Sunday night, 99-98. The first score in that closing spurt came on an emphatic, one-handed dunk over Atlanta's Josh Smith, who might want to avoid ESPN on Monday.

With the Lakers trailing by one with 2:25 remaining in the game, Kobe found himself facing Smith at the top of the key. Driving to his right and into the lane, Bryant got a sliver of separation from Smith before taking flight. Smith closed in and went for the block but swung and missed at the ball as Kobe threw down a vicious dunk.

Kobe finished with 34 points, six rebounds and four assists as Los Angeles got back to .500 for the first time in more than two months.

After his vintage performance, Kobe was asked about the possibility of returning to the Dunk Contest. Twitter was similarly abuzz with Dunk Contest talk.
