Lamar Odom Falls Asleep During Child Custody Hearing

Falling asleep in court probably isn't the best idea.

Reality star and Los Angeles Clippers forward Lamar Odom fell asleep on a courthouse bench right in the middle of his ongoing child custody case, reports the New York Post.

According to the paper, the 33-year-old was reprimanded by a Manhattan court officer, who after checking to see if the athlete was all right, asked that he sit up. Odom complied but remained slumped over, and rested his head in his hands.

It appears as though his hectic schedule combined with the stress of fighting his ex-girlfriend Liza Morales for custody of his 14-year-old daughter Destiny, and 11-year-old son Lamar Jr., is taking a toll on the basketball player.

In an open letter published on The Daily Beast on Tuesday, Morales, who stars in the new controversial reality series "Starter Wives," was completely candid about how Odom's romance and sudden marriage to Kardashian left her devastated, though they had split up years earlier following the tragic death of their infant son Jayden, who died of SIDS in 2006.

“I don’t think I’ll forget the tight knot I felt in the pit of my stomach the morning I received the text message with three simple words on the screen. It read 'I’m getting married’ and it was from the man I’d spent more than 10 years of my life with,” she said.“Years that included us getting engaged in 2000 and becoming parents to one daughter and two sons. Yet not long after our separation Lamar Odom was getting married to Khloe Kardashian, a woman he’d met four weeks before.”

Morales added, "As I continue to move on with my life, it can be difficult to avoid hearing about the Kardashians day in and day out. But I do what I can to ignore the constant chatter and I try to keep it from the kids as well so they can have a life that is as normal as possible."
