WATCH: It Was A Bad, Bad Day For San Francisco Grow Houses

UPDATE: According to the San Jose Mercury News, the suspect inside of the building surrendered to police just after 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning. The suspect had reportedly been holding four hostages inside, all of whom escaped without injury at 8:30 a.m. CBS reported:

"At about 10:05, a tactical team along with a police K-9 entered the building, announced their presence and the dog barked,” said San Francisco police Sgt. Michael Andraychak. “As they made their way through the building, the suspect surrendered, stating that he did not want to be bitten by the police dog.”

San Francisco police believe a robbery suspect is barricaded in a building housing a large marijuana grow near Jennings Street and Wallace Avenue, possibly with hostages inside.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, officers responded to reports of a robbery early Wednesday morning and arrested three people in ski masks outside. Officers believe that a fourth suspect may still be inside with workers at the grow.

The standoff reportedly started at about 3:50 a.m. and continued late into the morning. At one point, officers had surrounded the building with guns drawn.

Sgt. Michael Andraychak told KTVU that concern was high because employees inside the building had not responded to police.

In other San Francisco grow house news, firefighters battling a two-alarm blaze in the Inner Sunset Wednesday morning discovered a "house full of marijuana," according to the SF Appeal.
