Today in fun Twitter jokes: Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill took to social media to admit that he was simply too intoxicated to continue work on the band's upcoming album.

The series of tweets make nice reading for fans of the band, as they eagerly await the band's forthcoming six studio album -- the first since 2010's "Come Around the Sundown."

Jared Followill
Wine isn't for everyone, but it is definitely for me.

Jared Followill
Just tried for a sequence to the new album. Very exciting stuff. I can't quite nail it down due to the being too drunk.

Jared Followill
I can't believe there hasn't been a scene in a movie with a dude playing drums on his steering wheel so hard his airbag pops out.

Followill, who told a curious fan that he normally drinks "between seven and eight days" a week, seemed amused by his own inebriation, remarking that his Twitter drafts were chock full of potential goodies.

Jared Followill
My "drafts" on twitter should be titled "drunk thoughts you might tweet tomorrow if they're not too offensive".

And this concludes another episode of Peep the Tweets.
