Brad Waldow Loses Tooth During Saint Mary's-San Diego Game (VIDEO)

Saint Mary's Forward Loses Tooth

Saint Mary's forward Brad Waldow gave it his all on Saturday night, including a tooth.

Waldow was battling for a rebound late in the second half and ended up taking an elbow to the mouth from San Diego's Chris Manresa. Waldow's tooth got knocked out on the play. As he made his way down to the other end of the court, Wadlow tried to hand his tooth to coach Randy Bennett. Not surprisingly, no one on the St. Mary's bench looked particularly interested in playing the role of tooth fairy.

Waldow returned to the game after the bleeding stopped. After Saint Mary's won the WCC semifinal game in overtime, in which Waldow finished with 23 points and 16 rebounds, the sophomore tweeted that he was going to undergo surgery.

Wadlow was hardly the only one tweeting about the bizarre, gruesome play.
