At first glance, Marc Jacobs for Diet Coke made no sense to us. Why does a soda brand need a creative director, much less one who's already insanely busy? Also, why is he naked in the soda ads?
Thankfully Marc explained it all himself. "I take my clothes off when anyone asks me to -- well, maybe not everyone," the designer told Vogue UK. "And I like attention. I'm going to be 50 next month and if someone asks me to take off my shirt and says, 'please be a hunk', far be it for me to say no." (He's not lying.)
That explains it: Marc just really likes being naked. And he's in good company in the fashion world, where bared skin is commonplace, where slipping a nip is routine practice and where "NSFW content" is totally safe for work.
