Men Lose Legs In Fight Outside Strip Club; Terrence Conrad Meeks Accused Of Running Them Over

Men Lose Legs In Fight At Strip Club

Two men lost their legs outside a Los Angeles strip club when a third man they'd been fighting with allegedly hit them with his car, KTLA reported.

The argument began inside Sam’s Hofbrau, a downtown L.A. club early Sunday morning, KNBC reported.

An African-American man reportedly lobbed racial slurs at two Latino patrons, CBS Los Angeles reported, and the dispute spilled outside.

That's when Terrence Conrad Meeks, 40, allegedly hopped into his white BMW and deliberately plowed into two men, pinning them against another car.

The victims, aged 24 and 57, were both listed in critical but stable condition, according to the Los Angeles Times. Doctors said one man would have both legs amputated above the knee, and the other would have his right leg amputated above the knee.

Witnesses told police that Meeks appeared intoxicated during the incident, KTLA reported.

The 40-year-old was arrested and faces attempted manslaughter and DUI charges. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.

According to KTLA, the ongoing investigation is examining whether or not the incident can be charged as a hate crime.
