'The Walking Dead': Carl Is The Only One Safe From Death

Nobody's Safe On 'The Walking Dead' Except ...

Nobody is safe on "The Walking Dead" ... except Carl.

"I don't think anybody is safe on this show, to be honest," Laurie Holden, Andrea on "The Walking Dead," told TV Guide. "The only person who's really safe is Carl [Chandler Riggs]. I know that people don't want to hear that, but it's true. There's going to be more major deaths before the end of the season and no one is safe."

"Walking Dead" executive producer Greg Nicotero said in January, "We've established a certain scenario on our show where nobody is safe -- and certainly in the back-half of our season, it doesn't get easy for anybody ... We have the whole Woodbury community with the Governor (David Morrissey) and our principal cast. We'll probably end our season minus a cast member or two."

So far, this season has seen the demise of two characters who have been with the show from the start: Lori Grimes and T-Dog. Could Andrea be the latest death? The character has been living in Woodbury and sleeping with its nefarious leader the Governor, trying to broker peace between the community and her friends at the prison. It hasn't be going that well.

"What happens to Andrea is not what anybody expects," executive producer David Alpert told TV Guide.

There are just a few episodes left before the Season 3 finale of "The Walking Dead" and it's going to be a big one, according to executive producer and comic book co-creator Robert Kirkman. "Now that we just have 3 episodes left, things ramp up pretty quickly and really don’t stop until the finale is over. And they may not even stop then. I’m not going to spoil anything," he told EW.

What's next for Season 4? More zombies. "We are going to amp up the threat of the walkers, because they've started to seem like a manageable threat. They are not a manageable threat," executive producer Gale Anne Hurd said during "The Walking Dead" PaleyFest event. "But, it is the people who you think you can trust who betray you, that you have to fear. It is the monster inside you. We all have them. How do we keep them in check?"

"The Walking Dead" airs Sundays, 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
