Taylor Swift Fan Mail: Hundreds Of Unopened Letters Found In Nashville Dumpster (VIDEO)

Taylor Swift's Fans Probably Won't Like Hearing This

Hundreds of colorful, glittery letters addressed to Taylor Swift were found, unopened, in a Tennessee dumpster over the weekend.

The shocking discovery was made by Kylee Francescan when she was tossing out her garbage at a dumpster in Nashville, Tenn., according to ABC Nashville station WKRN. "There were like hundreds of letters in there to Taylor Swift and I'm like, ‘Oh my gosh!' I didn't know if they were stolen [or] discarded, so I threw them in a box. And I'm like, ‘Somebody needs to let Taylor know,'" she told the station. "It did bother me [because] I know how much her fans mean to her."

The Swift fan mail, "covered with pictures, hearts and sparkles," was addressed to a P.O. Box at a strip mall. The owner of the venue says a member of the superstar's team comes to get the letters every so often.

When WKRN reached out, the 23-year-old's spokeswoman, Paula Erickson, explained that what could have happened was "a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center."

A representative for Swift could not immediately be reached for comment.

We are sure the "Red" singer -- who spends an hour before every show meeting and greeting the people standing in line to see her -- wouldn't be happy to hear about the junked fan mail.

Swift has always had a very close relationship with her fans. "It's honestly the most amazing feeling to know that there's this amazing group of people that has my back," she told VEVO in an October interview. "And I try to thank them all the time for doing that for me because they just go out of their way nonstop to make my life really, really fun."

In the past, she has held onto the tokens they've given her, including a huge glittering heart made with puzzle pieces from around the world that she hung in one of her homes.

Hopefully the letter snafu will be forgotten since Swift made fans very happy when she visited a 10-year-old cancer patient in Omaha on Saturday in response to a social media campaign.
