John Of God's Spiritual Surgery: The Effects Give One Man Goosebumps (VIDEO)

WATCH: A Family Experiences John Of God’s ‘Spiritual Surgery’

Some say John of God can perform miracles, healing the sick and dying. Others say he is a fraud. This Sunday, Oprah travels to Brazil to visit the world’s most famous -- and controversial -- faith healer for a new episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” airing on March 17 at 9 p.m. ET on OWN.

In addition to performing physical surgeries with no anesthesia (and seemingly no pain), John of God also performs what is known as “spiritual surgery,” a no-incisions procedure that he says is done directly to the soul.

In this exclusive clip from the March 17 episode, Oprah sits down with Mike, the husband of a woman with multiple sclerosis who has just undergone John of God’s spiritual surgery. Did it help?

In the clip, Mike says that his wife, Roxanna, felt different after the procedure. He tells Oprah, “What gave me goosebumps after the surgery [is] she said, ‘My eyes are kind of blurry and I feel extremely exhausted. And the [feeling] of joy and the energy that she feels just gives me the full happiness here.... She had a very good night's sleep last night.”

Mike also shares with Oprah his take on being in Brazil with John of God, saying, “The energy level that you see here and the faith is just tremendous.”
