According to the San Francisco Chronicle, California State Treasurer Bill Lockyer is no longer seeking a divorce from his estranged wife, former Alameda County Supervisor Nadia Lockyer, who has recently completed a drug rehabilitation program.
The news comes a year after a car accident and highly publicized fight with a lover revealed Nadia Lockyer's extramarital affair, drug and alcohol addiction and rumored sex tape. Nadia Lockyer resigned from the Board of Supervisors in April and was arrested on drug charges later that summer. Bill Lockyer filed for divorce in July, citing irreconcilable differences.

Now, Nadia Lockyer, who is 30 years her husband's junior, has completed a 180-day residential drug treatment program, and the couple has decided to reconcile, reports the San Jose Mercury News.
Nadia Lockyer issued the following statement on Thursday:
I thank my husband and family for their unwavering support. Bill and I agree reconciliation would be best for Diego and for us, and we're committed to reaching that goal," she said. "Addicts cannot achieve a safe and healthy life unless we take responsibility for our actions and conquer our addiction first. I pray that all addicts who are also victims of abuse, violence and exploitation find inspiration in my story.
